Prophylaxis: Consists in the elimination of dental biofilm, in case of tartar being present, it is also removed.
Topical application of fluoride: helps prevent the attack of acids to the tooth enamel.
Application of fluoride varnish: applies when the patient has a high incidence of decay, or when there is presence of white spot (when there is a demineralization on any tooth surface) and want to avoid that decay will generate a cavity.
Brushing and flossing technique: to help the patient and the patient’s parents maintain oral surfaces clean and with lower risk of disease.
Pit and fissure sealants: help prevent that you generate cavities in susceptible molars.
Profiláxis: Consiste en la eliminación de biofilm dental, en caso de presencia de sarro se elimina también.
Aplicación tópica de flúor: Ayuda a prevenir el ataque de los ácidos al esmalte dental.
Aplicación de barniz de flúor: Se aplica cuando el paciente tiene alta incidencia de caries, o cuando hay presencia de mancha blanca (cuando hay una desmineralización franca en alguna superficie dental) y queremos evitar que se la caries genere una cavidad.
Consulta de técnica de cepillado y uso de hilo dental: para ayudar al paciente y a los padres del paciente a mantener las superficies orales limpias y con menor riesgo de enfermedad.
Selladores de fosetas y fisuras: Ayudan a prevenir que se genere caries en molares suceptibles.
