Regularization of the alveolar ridge

The regularization of the alveolar ridge is the surgical procedure consisting of resection of irregularities of the alveolar bone that cause irritation and inflammation, and prevent the correct support of a prosthesis. The bumps or sharp peaks can be:

  • Acquired after extractions or alveolar hyperplasia
  • Congenital (torus, crests, process).
